Night to Shine was hands down the best night of my life. I teamed up with my local church, Church of Eleven22, and The Team Tebow Foundation to shoot this incredible event. The opportunities the Lord has presented me with and the people I have been fortunate enough to meet- there is no explanation other than God is good…ALL. THE. TIME. When my church approached me about doing Night to Shine I was over the moon about participating. For years I felt lost and confused about “my calling” in life. However, ever since the Lord led me to photography I have never felt more complete and alive. I finally feel confident in who I am in Christ and what I have to offer. So naturally, I felt honored to have the opportunity to give back what He has given me.
This night is essentially a prom that revolves around loving on people with special needs or terminal illnesses and affirming that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Each guest is crowned a king or a queen – a symbol of being chosen by God. Before this night, I didn’t have much experience interacting with people with special needs. To be completely transparent, I was a little nervous leading up to this night and didn’t know what to expect. However, Night to Shine surpassed anything I could have ever dreamed! The joy that each of them radiated has changed me forever. My work in photography has led me to see life through many lenses, but Night to Shine has been my favourite by far! I will forever relive that night over and over- until next year that is!
If you have never been a part of Night to Shine I highly recommend it. I guarantee you will not regret it and you will be saying it was the best night of your life too! Thank you, Tim Tebow Foundation, for having me. I am excited to partner with them this Saturday as well at their Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Gala and Golf Classic.
